SunSirs: On September 16, the Domestic Rare Earth Market Price Index Rose Sharply

Price trend

On September 16, the rare earth index was 602 points, an increase of 14 points from previous day, a decrease of 40.22% from the highest point in the cycle of 1,007 points (2022-02-24), and an increase of 122.14% points from the lowest point of 271 points on September 13, 2015. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-12-01 to the present)

Analysis review

The domestic rare earth index rose sharply, and the domestic light rare earth praseodymium and neodymium prices rose. The price of praseodymium neodymium metal rose by 5,000 RMB/ton to 727,500 RMB/ton, the price of praseodymium neodymium oxide rose by 5,000 RMB/ton to 600,000 RMB/ton, the price of neodymium oxide rose by 15,000 RMB/ton to 670,000 RMB/ton, the price of neodymium metal rose by 20,000 RMB/ton to 835,000 RMB/ton, the price of praseodymium metal rose by 40,000 RMB/ton to 925,000 RMB/ton, the price of praseodymium oxide rose by 25,000 RMB/ton to 655,000 RMB/ton, the price of terbium oxide was 12.85 million RMB/ton, the price of metal terbium was 16.3 million RMB/ton, the price of dysprosium oxide was 2.18 million RMB/ton, the price of dysprosium metal rose by 20,000 RMB/ton to 2.865 million RMB/ton, and the price of dysprosium ferroalloy was 2.15 million RMB/ton.

The domestic light rare earth market prices rose sharply, traders became more active, and metal factories replenished their inventories. The price trend of dysprosium series in the domestic heavy rare earth market was rising, and the price trend of terbium series was temporarily stable. The downstream purchase was mainly on demand. Myanmar banned exports.

Market outlook

It is expected that the domestic rare earth market price will rise in the later period.
