According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of potassium sulfate with a 50% content at the beginning of this week was 3,450 RMB/ton, and the price of potassium sulfate with a 50% content at the end of this week was 3,466 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.48%.

Analysis review

As of September 22nd, the factory price of 50% powder Mannheim potassium sulfate was mostly between 3,500 to 3,600 RMB/ton, and the factory price of 52% powder potassium sulfate was between 3,650 to 3,800 RMB/ton. The actual transaction price was mainly negotiated. After the comprehensive resumption of production of resource-based potassium sulfate plants, the initial orders were gradually being delivered. The official quotation for 52% potassium sulfate from SDIC LuobuPu POTASH’s  potassium sulfate was mostly at 3,700 RMB/ton, while the price for potassium sulfate from Qinghai water salt system 50% powder potassium sulfate was mostly at 3,450-3,500 RMB/ton.

The overall supply of domestic potassium fertilizer was in a relatively sufficient state. Although there was some consumption at the port, the total port stock was relatively high, and the supply was mostly concentrated in the hands of large traders. Moreover, domestic manufacturers had decent production, and the supply was mostly in continuous shipment. New sources of goods were arriving in various regions of the market.

Market outlook

Inquiries in the domestic potassium fertilizer market had increased, and it is expected that the potassium sulfate market price may fluctuate in a narrow range.
