According to the weekly export sales report of the US Department of Agriculture, as of January 15, 2026 and 2025/26 (starting from September 1), the US soybean export volume to China (mainland region) was 2.686 million tons, 2.093 million tons a week ago, down from 17.621 million tons in the same period last year. The United States shipped 593,400 tons of soybeans to China this week, compared to 901,200 tons a week ago.

According to a report from the US Department of Agriculture, as of January 15, 2026, the US soybean exports to China for the year 2025/26 were only 2.686 million tons, far lower than the 17.621 million tons in the same period last year, and the weekly shipment volume was 593,400 tons, a significant decrease from the previous week's 901,200 tons. This indicates a significant weakness in Chinese demand, market concerns about oversupply, and downward pressure on spot prices. The decrease in exports may be due to the slowdown of the Chinese economy or the impact of trade policies, which will suppress soybean spot prices in the short term, and buyers' price cutting behavior may increase.
