Price trend:
Orthoboric acid prices have been relatively stable recently. According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, as of October 21st, the average domestic orthoboric acid market price was 8,000 RMB/ton. As of October 21st, domestic orthoboric acid traders were offering quotes between 7,700 and 8,300 RMB/ton (depending on the brand and specification, actual transaction prices were subject to negotiation). Based on sales volume, the mainstream price was between 7,900 and 8,150 RMB/ton.
Regarding overseas imports, the quotes ranged from 8,100 to 9,850 RMB/ton (different brands, different specifications, and actual transaction prices were subject to negotiation). According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the average market price of imported orthoboric acid was 8,908.33 RMB/ton, up 4.5% from the average market price of 7,624 RMB/ton in early October.
Market outlook
Orthoboric acid prices had rebounded from their lows in April 2025 and were temporarily fluctuating at a high level. If there is no special news, it is expected that the market will mainly fluctuate sideways in the short term.
