According to customs data, the total import volume of palm oil in China in September 2025 was 190,300 tons, a decrease of 115,700 tons from the same period last year (306,000 tons), a year-on-year decrease of 37.80%, and a month on month decrease of 219,900 tons from the same period last month (410,200 tons). This will lead to an imbalance between supply and demand in the spot market. With stable or slightly increasing demand, the expectation of supply shortage will drive up prices and benefit the spot market.
