According to data monitored by SunSirs, as of January 22nd, the average price of industrial-grade cyclohexane in China was 6,900 RMB/ton. The cyclohexane market remained stable, with high inventory levels and insufficient downstream demand, resulting in an overall balanced supply and demand situation.

Market analysis

Market situation: Enterprise production facilities were relatively stable, but downstream demand was weak, and inventory levels remained high. Overall market negotiations were stable, and the market was generally balanced in terms of supply and demand. There was insufficient upward momentum, downstream demand was sluggish, and purchasing activity was weak. The overall market was oversupplied, and prices were showing a downward trend from high levels. There was a lack of favorable support for price increases.

Upstream benzene: Supply was ample, with sufficient domestic benzene supply and rapid accumulation of port inventories. On December 1st, Jiangsu port inventory reached 224,000 tons, a 36.59% increase compared to the previous month. As of January 22, downstream demand was weak, overall operating rates were declining, and major products such as styrene and caprolactam were experiencing profit losses, resulting in weak purchasing intentions.

Demand-wise: Overall demand for cyclohexane was temporarily weak. Downstream markets were mainly purchasing only what they immediately needed, and operating rates in downstream industries such as synthetic fibers and coatings had not increased significantly. Export orders were also limited.

Market Outlook:
