In December 2025, China produced 68.18 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 10.3%. Daily output reached 2.1994 million tons, down 5.6% month-on-month. Pig iron production totaled 60.72 million tons, down 9.9% year-on-year, with daily output at 1.9587 million tons, a 5.7% month-on-month decline. Steel product output reached 115.31 million tons, down 3.8% year-on-year, with a daily output of 3.7197 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.7%. From January to December, cumulative crude steel production nationwide totaled 961 million tons, down 4.4% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2.6324 million tons. Pig iron output reached 836 million tons, down 3.0% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2905 million tons; Steel production totaled 1.446 billion tons, up 3.1% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 3.962 million tons.

In December 2025, key statistical steel enterprises produced 58.3174 million tons of crude steel, down 10.5% year-on-year, with a daily output of 1.8812 million tons, down 7.6% month-on-month; pig iron production reached 55.2394 million tons, down 5.8% year-on-year, with a daily output of 1.7819 million tons, down 5.1% month-on-month; Steel products totaled 62.1156 million tons, down 5.6% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.0037 million tons, down 5.8% month-on-month. From January to December, key steel enterprises cumulatively produced 805 million tons of crude steel, down 2.7% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2046 million tons; Cumulative pig iron production reached 732 million tons, down 0.7% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.0056 million tons. Cumulative steel production totaled 826 million tons, up 0.9% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.2622 million tons.
